Protein is critical for most functions in the body, from cell repair and hormone production, to muscle and bone growth. Protein is particularly important for athletes and those with lifestyles that demand high energy levels, whether for work or pleasure.

Protein can be found in certain foods but it can be harder for certain groups of people to obtain the right amount, such as vegans and vegetarians, and therefore protein shakes provide an excellent alternative to getting those vital macronutrients into the body.
